***Upcoming Training Announcement*** “Investigating Arson For Profit”

The NJIAAI is hosting a course titled “Investigating Arson for Profit” on November 9-10th 2022 from 8:30am to 4:00pm at the Middlesex County Fire Academy.

Presented by David Kircher & Stephen Kircher

This course is for everyone that investigates fires, no matter if it involves vehicles, single or multi-family residences, sheds, storage buildings, commercial properties, and personal properties. This course is a must for both private and public sector investigators as many of these cases involve joint efforts.  Both sectors need to be more aware of the many simple and elaborate schemes involving arson for profit.  This type of crime is not new, however this will be a new up to date look at this important topic.

It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of chapter life member, recent sgt-at-arms, and good friend Richard Wolfson.

Rich was known to many in the fire investigation community across the state and was also a member of the Garfield Fire Department. Our thoughts and prayers will be his family at this time.

We will post the arrangements once they have been made.

On behalf of your friends and family in SC, we are sorry for your loss. May he rest in eternal peace.

Absolute Legend, Friend & Gentlemen. A guy who put the shovel in the ground. Worked a tremendous amount of fire scenes with Rich and always learned something new. Huge loss to our fire investigation community. I will never forget you ! Rest in peace Rich 🔥

Rest in Peace my friend. I first met Rich at a multiple fatal fire in Garfield in the mid 70's. We have worked many fire scenes together over the years since. Rich was the consumate professional a true friend who was always smiling and never had a bad word for anybody. We will miss you brother, may you rest in the arms of the Lord forever.🙏🙏🙏
